The British Columbia Association for Living Mindfully (BCALM) is a non profit society dedicated to facilitating increased mindfulness and reduced stress in homes, schools and workplaces throughout BC.

Based in beautiful Victoria, BC, and collaborating with physicians, mindfulness facilitators, educators and researchers throughout the province, we offer classes, workshops and retreats in meditation and mindfulness based stress reduction and management for children, youth and adults.

Our programs and research focus upon the health benefits of mindful awareness, compassion, and acceptance. These skills allow participants to better navigate common challenges such as depression, anxiety, chronic pain and chronic disease.

Workshops

BCALM, Mindfulness meditation, Victoria British ColumbiaIn addition to the ALM courses(see above), our BCALM team offers half and full day workshops on mindfulness based stress management to organizations, schools and workplaces of all types.

Being Here Now — An Intro to The Art of Living Mindfully (One day workshop)
This 7 hour workshop introduces mindfulness and cognitive behavioral concepts and skills useful in learning to navigate anxiety, depression and unhelpful patterns of thought and behavior that contribute to our stress and suffering. We explore inquiry, acceptance, non-attachment, compassion and non judgement using dialogue and experiential practices. Body Scan, 3 Minute Breathing Space, Mindfulness Meditation are part of the day together. Guided meditation CD is included.
