Learn to manage anxiety & prevent the relapse of depression.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is an evidence-based group therapy for preventing depressive relapse. It has shown to reduce depression, anxiety, and stress.

Mindfulness is a non-judgmental way of paying attention to the present moment. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is designed to bring awareness to the habitual ways of being that can lead to depressive and anxious spirals. MBCT combines the skills of CBT and mindfulness based practices, helping participants learn how to respond in more skillful ways to increase well-being and resiliency.

Research has demonstrated MBCT is as effective as antidepressants in the prevention of depressive relapse or recurrence. (Kuyken, 2008)

*This continuing education program is based on the facilitator’s training at the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto.

Who Should Attend

Individuals experiencing moderate anxiety and/or depression and people with a history of depression. 

This offering is strictly limited to residents of British Columbia.

Commitment and Cost

8 weekly online sessions of 2.5 hours each.

A commitment to 8 week attendance and weekly home practice is required.

The cost for this exciting private pay offering is $395 which includes all classes and all class materials.

Participants Will Learn

Skills and practices to manage depression, anxiety and prevent relapse. By learning to identify the triggers and symptoms of anxiety and depression, participants can effectively address these issues as they arise in everyday life.

Dates and Time

Telephone intake interviews will arranged by the facilitator.

A schedule with exact timing for this intake will be emailed by the facilitator once arranged. Everyone will have the opportunity for a 10-15 interview with the facilitator. You are only requested to attend the scheduled interview time. Intake forms will be emailed ahead of time.  


Tuesday evenings from JANUARY 12 – MARCH 2 2023 from 1800-2030.

  • 50% tuition refunded with cancellation notice of 2-4 weeks prior to program start date
